From the Lab to Big Tech
My foundation was laid at Cornell University, where I earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Biophysics, exploring analog circuits inspired by neuronal signaling. I began my professional journey in the deep-tech trenches at Intel Labs and SLAC, where I designed high-precision circuits for DNA sequencing and X-ray detection alongside brilliant physicists. That rigorous foundation in hard science took me into the startup world, where I transformed prototypes into commercial realities, from solid-state LiDAR sensors to hospitality robots. Subsequently, I’ve taken a leap to Big tech building and scaling consequential products that impact millions of customers and thousands of business partners at Amazon, working on large-scale optimization problems, carving out opportunities for 10X improvement in customer experience and value generated.
Build, Build and Build some more
I am a builder at heart, motivated by the challenge of translating complex innovation into accessible solutions. My academic roots in Electrical Engineering and Biosensors, under the guidance of fearless mentors, taught me to explore uncharted territories. My transition from Engineer to Product leader taught me the value of customer obsession, to sustain curiosity, to explore customer journeys and fall in love with problems that matter to customers. Whether it’s partnering with Softbank Robotics, or Daimler to bring autonomous driving to all, or a retirement home to improve mobile delivery, I thrive on bridging the gap between scientific breakthroughs and business viability. I do my best work when I’m constantly building and learning. I am currently focused on harnessing the power of AI to unlock exponential productivity for businesses and individuals, fundamentally redefining how we interact with technology.

Off-Campus Life
Born in India, I call Saratoga, CA, home where I hang out with my husband and son. I spend my summers in Upstate NY trying (with modest success) to beat my personal water-skiing records. Recently, I put my passion for architecture in practice, renovating our 1950s ranch. There is a saying in my native Telugu that compares building a house to organizing a wedding—implying they are the ultimate tests of patience, persistence, and budgeting. Having done both, I can confirm they taught me just as much about high-velocity decision-making as any high-tech job I’ve held. I paint, garden, hike and love traveling to exotic places: Follow my blog to join the fun!
